African American Book Festival Inland Empire
AABFIE (The African American Book Festival Inland Empire) invites you to our second year! We did it big in Perris, now we are taking the Authors, Books, DJ, and much more to MORENO VALLEY!! We can hardly wait for February to get here. Add this not-to-miss event to your Black History Month Festivities!
Ginger M. Galloway, author, poet, and playwright is dedicated to encouraging reading and literacy in the community. She has teamed up with Women Achieving Success founder Katie McClendon to put together the first African American Book Festival in Perris. Ginger and Katie agree that a passion for reading needs rekindling and they have taken it upon themselves to spearhead this free event to encourage up and coming writers, to expose the community to local African American authors and publishers, and to foster a love of reading for eveyone.

13th Annual Leimert Park Village Book Fair
The Leimert Park Village Book Fair was founded in 2007 by Cynthia E. Exum with the goal of promoting literacy and education in Los Angeles. The Leimert Park Village Book Fair was inspired by a project in February 1999 when Ms. Exum partnered with Our Authors Study Club, Inc.
The Inaugural Leimert Park Village Book Fair was organized by a Planning Committee of over 30 persons including representatives from local schools, corporate/businesses, libraries, literary non-profit organizations, community organizations, and local authors, poets, and spoken word performers.
Today, the Annual Leimert Park Village Book Fair attracts over 200 authors, poets, spoken word artists, storytellers, performers, and literary/educational exhibitor participants – and boasts an audience of over 5,000. Since its inception, the Leimert Park Village Book Fair has grown in popularity and prestige becoming a cultural tradition and premier summer literary event.
